Umrah from Pakistan: 14, 21 or 28 Days, and What's Included
Most families in Pakistan plan Umrah once every few years, so the questions are always the same: how long should we go for, what does the package actually cover, and what do we have to arrange ourselves? This guide walks through the three durations we offer and everything that sits inside them.
Choosing the duration
Fourteen days is the most popular choice: roughly eight nights in Makkah and five in Madinah, enough for several Umrahs, unhurried prayers in both Harams and the main ziyarat without feeling rushed. It suits first-timers and families travelling with older parents.
Twenty-one days adds breathing room. You can perform Umrah again from Masjid Aisha, spend Jumu'ah in both cities and sit in the Haram between prayers without watching the clock. Twenty-eight days is for those who want a full month, often the second half of Ramadan or a long-planned trip with elderly relatives who need a slower pace.
What the package covers
Every package includes the Umrah visa application, return airfare from Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi, hotel nights in Makkah and Madinah at the tier you choose, airport and intercity transfers, a group leader who travels with you, and guided ziyarat in both cities. The split of nights between the two cities is fixed in your quotation.
What it does not cover: meals unless your hotel tier includes breakfast, personal shopping, the sacrificial animal for those combining Umrah with a fidyah, and travel insurance, which we recommend for every traveller and can arrange on request.
Hotels and distance from the Haram
In Makkah we work with three tiers: Azizia-area hotels with shuttle buses, central hotels within a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk, and Haram-view hotels in the clock tower zone. In Madinah the equivalent is value hotels a short walk away, central hotels in the markaziya, and Haram-facing properties beside the gates.
The exact hotel name is confirmed in writing before you pay, and if a confirmed property becomes unavailable you receive the same tier or better. Distances on our pages are walking distances to the nearest gate, not to the Kaaba.
Timing and what to prepare
Book six to eight weeks ahead in normal months and three to four months ahead for Ramadan, when Saudi hotels sell out and become non-refundable early. Your passport needs at least six months' validity, and Saudi Arabia currently requires a meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination certificate; travellers from Pakistan also need a polio vaccination certificate for departure.
Once your visa is issued we send a day-by-day plan, a packing list and the WhatsApp group for your departure. From there the group leader takes over, from the check-in desk at the airport to the last transfer back.
