Family Umrah Visit Visa (90 Days): Documents, Timing and What to Expect
Thousands of Pakistani families have a relative working in Saudi Arabia. A family visit visa lets parents, spouses, children and siblings join them for a longer stay than an Umrah visa allows, perform Umrah during the visit and spend time together. Here is how the process works and where we come in.
Who it is for
The visa is sponsored by a family member who holds a valid Saudi residence permit (iqama) in an eligible profession. The applicant must be an immediate relative: spouse, parent, child or sibling. It is issued for a stay of up to 90 days per visit, with single- and multiple-entry versions depending on what is approved.
It is not a work visa and does not allow employment. Overstaying attracts fines and a ban, so the return date is planned before departure.
What the sponsor provides
The sponsor applies through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform and provides their iqama, passport copy, a certified family relationship document, and proof of employment or salary. Once the ministry approves the request it issues a visa authorisation number, which is the starting point for the applicant's side.
What the family in Pakistan provides
The applicant's passport with at least six months' validity, recent photographs on a white background, CNIC, the family registration certificate (FRC) from NADRA to prove the relationship, a marriage certificate for spouses, and vaccination certificates for meningococcal (ACWY) and polio. Applications are submitted through the authorised visa centre for the relevant consulate.
We prepare the checklist, review every document, complete the forms, book the visa-centre appointment and track the application until the decision. Translations and attestations are arranged where a document is in Urdu or issued by a provincial authority.
Timing and honesty about outcomes
Allow two to three weeks from the sponsor's approval to the visa being stamped, longer before Ramadan and the summer holidays. Issuance, validity and processing times rest with the Saudi authorities; our fee covers the documentation work and is payable whether or not the visa is granted, and government fees are not refundable once submitted.
Once the visa is issued we can add flights, Makkah and Madinah hotels and transfers so the Umrah part of the visit is as organised as one of our packages.
