Thailand from Pakistan: E-Visa, Arrival Card, Budget and a 6-Day Plan

Elijah Tours Team September 6, 2026 9 min read

Thailand is the easiest long-haul holiday from Pakistan: direct flights from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi, hotels at every budget, halal food in every city and a visa process that is entirely online. Here is what to arrange and how a first trip fits into six days.

Visa for Pakistani passport holders

Pakistan is not on Thailand's visa-exemption list, so a tourist visa is required. Since 2025 all applications go through the official Thai e-Visa portal; there is no visa on arrival for Pakistani passports. The single-entry tourist visa allows a stay of up to 60 days and normally takes five to ten working days to process.

The application asks for a passport valid for six months, a photograph, confirmed flight and hotel bookings, a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds, and proof of employment or business. We prepare and submit the file and track it to the decision; approval rests with the Thai consulate.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Every foreign visitor must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within three days before arrival. It replaced the paper TM6 form in 2025. We file it for our travellers once flights are ticketed, and you show the confirmation at immigration along with your visa.

What a trip costs

Flights are the largest item and move with the season; December to February and Eid weeks are highest. On the ground, Thailand is good value: a three-star hotel in central Bangkok, street and restaurant meals, Grab taxis and the Skytrain cost noticeably less than a comparable week in Dubai or Istanbul. Our packages bundle hotels, transfers and tours; flights are quoted separately so you can compare dates.

A six-day route

Days one and two in Bangkok: the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, a longtail boat on the Chao Phraya to Wat Arun, ICONSIAM and the Asiatique riverside night market. Day three, a coach to Pattaya via the floating market, with Coral Island by speedboat on day four. Day five back to Bangkok for Chatuchak weekend market or the Safari World and Marine Park with children. Day six, shopping at MBK and Platinum before the evening flight.

For couples or beach lovers, swap Pattaya for Phuket and Krabi on a seven-day plan; the islands deserve at least three nights.

Halal food and etiquette

Bangkok's Sukhumvit Nana area and Pratunam have dozens of halal restaurants, and Phuket and Krabi have large Muslim communities with halal seafood along the beaches. Cover shoulders and knees in temples, remove shoes at the door, and never touch a Buddha image or point your feet at one. The Thai royal family is deeply respected; keep any comments about them to yourself.
