How to get to Hunza
The classic route is the Karakoram Highway (KKH) from Islamabad through Naran, Chilas, and Gilgit — a spectacular two-day drive past the Nanga Parbat viewpoints and the Gilgit river gorges.
If you're short on time, fly Islamabad to Gilgit (weather permitting) and continue by road to Karimabad in around 2.5 hours. Our guided trips handle transport, permits, and stops end to end.
The best time to visit
Spring (late March–April) brings the famous cherry and apricot blossoms, while summer (May–September) offers clear skies and open high passes like Khunjerab.
Autumn (October–November) turns the valley gold and crimson — arguably the most photogenic season of all.
